Light Painting Experiments

I have finally begun work on the follow up to my video "Light Paint Piano Player"

The new video will be slightly more ambitious.  Among other things, I am building custom lights using cold cathode tubes.

The light on the left is a single cold cathode tube attached to a paint roller.  The light on the right is made out of two smaller tubes and a paint roller.  The handle on this one is the roller so the entire light spins around.

The push button control of the white cathode makes it easy to create both long ribbons and short broken up lines.

Although less accurate than the white cathode, the spinning light is extremely gratifying.  It creates smooth flowing arcs with ease.
